Kohli on Monday attended his first RCB training session where he was seen playing football and batting in the nets.

Virat Kohli on Monday expressed his happiness on coming back to cricket after a long sabbatical. Kohli has been absent from competitive cricket for over two months as he prepared to become a parent for the second time. Kohli on Monday joined the RCB training session where he was seen playing football and batting at the nets. Speaking on the team’s social media channel after joining RCB, Kohli said he was excited to be back in the RCB fold after a year.

Before the five-match series against England in January, Kohli had left the India Test team and was not involved in any of the matches during the tour. He afterwards disclosed on social media that Anushka Sharma, his wife, had given birth to their second child.

Kohli was in the news even before joining the RCB camp as he was seen congratulating Smriti Mandhana after the RCB Women won the WPL 2024 last night.

Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday released a video on their social media channel as Virat Kohli spoke about his feelings after rejoining the franchise.

It’s really good to be back, firstly playing cricket and just starting off the IPL,. It’s always exciting to come back to Bangalore for the start of the IPL season. So, similar emotions, similar feelings and I haven’t been off the media radar,” Kohli told RCB TV.
