The IPL teams would have added responsibility of keeping players all around the world fit with the T20 World Cup 2024 just around the corner. Mumbai Indians have a lot of players in their roster who are set to feature in the T20 World Cup including a host of Indian stars. On Monday, MI coach Mark Boucher was asked about how he plans to manage the players ahead of the crucial ICC tournament. Boucher, true to his aggressive self, answered that he will look after the interest of the Mumbai Indians first. He also proceeded to say he will take opinions from the player and the medical team.
Mumbai Indians have been undergoing a lot of changes ahead of IPL 2024. Rohit Sharma was removed as the MI captain and Hardik Pandya was given the armband. There were a lot of questions raised about the change. However, there hasn’t been any official communication on the matter from Rohit Sharma.
Also, there remains one more concern about how the IPL teams are going to manage their players. The T20 World Cup 2024 is scheduled to start from June.
MI head coach Mark Boucher addressed the matter in Monday’s press conference.
