One thing that hasn’t changed from the past two years is the presence of Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan. Rashid Khan has been a vital cog of the GT line up, helping the team with wickets and miserly spells whenever called upon. However, with only 4 days to go for IPL, Rashid is yet to join the GT camp. When will Rashid Khan join Gujarat Titans?

Rashid Khan has been dealing with an injury problem for the past few months. Rashid suffered a back injury and underwent a surgery after the ODI World Cup 2023. Due to the surgery, he missed a number of key series including Big Bash League, the SA20, Afghanistan’s tour against the UAE, India, and Sri Lanka, and now the Test and ODI matches against Ireland. However, he has made full recovery and has returned to the Afghanistan team to play the T20I series against Ireland.

On Sunday, Rashid helped his side beat Ireland in the AFG vs IRE 2nd T20I with an all-round performance. Rashid scored 25 of 12 balls and took four wickets as Ireland were beaten by 10 runs in the match.

Latest News on IPL

Afghanistan will play the series-deciding match on Monday, 18th March. It is expected that Rashid will join the Gujarat Titans camp immediately after the end of the series.
