Former IPL champs, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will be looking to claim their third trophy in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. Legendary Indian domestic coach Chadrakant Pandit will continue to serve as Kolkata Knight Riders’ head coach in IPL 2024.
The Men in Purple and Gold have also named Gautam Gambhir as their mentor for the upcoming edition. Gambhir, who led the Knight Riders to title triumphs in 2012 and 2014, served as a mentor of the Lucknow Super Giants during the 2022 and 2023 season but he is now back with KKR.

KKR head coach over the years
Chandrakant Pandit is the sixth head coach of KKR in IPL so far. Former Australian coach John Buchanan was the first KKR head coach in the IPL. After him, the likes of Dav Whatmore, Trevor Bayliss and Brendon McCullum have also held the post. As stated above, Chandrakant Pandit is currently the KKR head coach in IPL.
