Martin Guptill (56) began the fireworks as ISU batted first in the clash. While Alex Hales (23) and Shadab Khan (23) perished after short stints, the only noteworthy contribution from the bat came from Agha Salman (31).

It was then Imad Wasim’s turn to weave magic in the 2nd innings. The ISU spinner wreaked havoc on Quetta Gladiators batters, picking up three wickets. QTG captain Rilee Rossouw (5) was also one of Imad’s preys. The spinner finished with figures of 3/12 and was adjudged the Player of the Match.

I think we start well, but aren’t capitalising. That’s something we can correct. Today, we bowled really well in the powerplay, but then in the middle overs there weren’t enough wickets. We have to play the perfect game in the last couple of matches,” Shadab Khan says after the match.
