Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf Du Plessis on Tuesday joined the RCB camp ahead of the start of IPL 2024. Faf Du Plessis has been leading the RCB side from 2022 and will lead the Bangalore outfit for the third time in IPL.
The South African batter will need to be at the top of his game if RCB were to go on and lift their first IPL trophy in 2024. While Faf arrived on Tuesday, RCB fans have been eagerly waiting for Indian batter Virat Kohli’s arrival. Kohli, who has been taking a break from cricket due to the birth of his second child, is expected to join the team ahead of their first match against CSK on March 22.
Faf Du Plessis started his journey with Chennai Super Kings and was an integral part of MS Dhoni’s team before being bought by RCB for Rs 7 crore at the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. The South African batter has played 30 matches for RCB so far in two seasons, scoring 842 runs for the Bengaluru franchise.
