MUM vs VID Ranji Trophy final Day 2

Vidarbha would need to pull off an extraordinary batting performance in the fourth innings to win the Ranji Trophy 2024. Mumbai started the day with intensity, knowing that a good lead in the first innings could set them up for another famous win.

Sent in to bat, Mumbai got off to a promising start with openers Prithvi Shaw and Bhupen Lalwani putting on an 81-run partnership. However, a familiar middle-order collapse saw them lose wickets in quick succession, tumbling from a comfortable position to 111/6.

Enter Shardul Thakur, the hero of the hour. The all-rounder played a valiant knock of 75 runs off just 69 deliveries, rescuing Mumbai from the brink of disaster. The lower order chipped in with valuable contributions, allowing Mumbai to add a crucial 120 runs for their final four wickets.
