The master of cricket world has always delivered with the straight bat. As his batting, he delivered some straight forward answers for tough looking queries. During the TV Today’s Salaam Cricket 2020, when asked about the fate of IPL 2020 amid the worsening situation of the coronavirus in India, legendary India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar said the chances of the tournament happening in India would depend on whether the Indian citizens would abide by the restriction guidelines or not.
Sachin Tendulkar on IPL 2020
“It all depends on how much discipline we show as citizens. If we show good discipline and follow the guidelines properly then chances of it (IPL 2020 happening this year) will increase,” Tendulkar said on the show.
“But some people haven’t followed the rules, that problem will go on. Only because some people have decided to live life differently. If the IPL does happen this year then it will be a lot of fun..”

Along with the IPL 2020, the fate of T20 World Cup 2020 also remains undecided due to the Covid19 pandemic. The ICC had said it will wait for another month before taking a call on the T20 World Cup, scheduled to be held in Australia in October-November.
Talking about the tournament, Tendulkar said, “The Australian board has to decide whether they will be able to hold the T20 World Cup or not. The decision will be tough for Cricket Australia but cricket is restarting, I cannot be more happier (in reference to Eng-W.I series) ”
