GG vs UPW: Gujarat Giants keep WPL 2024 Playoffs hope alive after a close win over UP Warriorz

The Giants have kept themselves in the race for the WPL 2024 playoffs after a close 8-run win over the Warriorz. However, if RCB manages to win their next match, both teams will be knocked out, and the Royals will move ahead.

GG vs UPW, Match 18: The Gujarat Giants have kept themselves alive in the WPL 2024. After eking out a 8-run win over the UP Warriorz, the Beth Mooney-led side still has a chance to make the playoffs. Despite Deepti Sharma’s marvelous 88-run knock, the Warriorz were too far behind in the match to bolster their qualification chances.

Winning just their second match of the season, skipper Beth Mooney played an instrumental part in their victory. The southpaw scored nearly half of her side’s runs, making a splendid 74 off 52 balls. The skipper scored 21 runs in the final over of the first inning, which eventually helped her side win by 8 runs.
