BCCI secretary Jay Shah presented the best fielder award to Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Kuldeep Yadav. For the first time in their best fielder award ceremony, team India adjudged three best fielders for the entire IND vs ENG Test series. In the video, Rohit Sharma and Jay Shah can be seen talking as Shah presents the memento to Rohit and Gill. The BCCI secretary then also presents the best fielder award to Kuldeep Yadav for his dedication in the field.
India picked up a ruthless 4-1 win over England in the five-match Test series. India showed great character throughout the series. They could have won the series 5-0, but Ollie Pope’s masterclass in the first Test gave England a surprise win in Hyderabad. However, India roared back in the series on the back of stunning performances.
Yashasvi Jaiswal was on fire with the bat and scored over 700 runs in the series, including back-to-back double hundreds in the second and third Test. Debutants Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel also grabbed eyeballs with sensational performances, while veterans Jasprit Bumrah and R Ashwin also made significant contributions. As a result, India continued its Test series winning streak on home soil.
