Royal Challengers Bangalore will be eyeing their maiden trophy in IPL 2024. But in their pursuit for the maiden glory comes quite a few injury concerns for Faf du Plessis and his boys. The injuries of Reece Topley and Rajat Patidar will pose big concerns for the Bangalore outfits.
One of the biggest misses for RCB will English pacer Reece Topley. The speedster recently had a niggle concern and thus was not given a NOC (No Objection Certificate) to take part in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). This has raised concerns about his availability.
Reece Topley – RCB would be hugely dependant on their star pacer. Back in 2023, Topley was ruled out early on in the tournament after suffering a shoulder injury. Ahead of IPL 2024, the Englishman is nursing a niggle. As a result the ECB didn’t give him the NOC to play in PSL.
However, come IPL 2024, Topley is expected to miss the opening part of the campaign. Thus as a part of recovery and workload management the 30-year old pacer is likely to miss the opening games.

Rajat Patidar – Another major concern for RCB will be the injury concerns of Rajat Patidar. The batter recently got his India team break in the IND vs ENG Test series after the injury of KL Rahul. However, Patidar went on to miss the ongoing IND vs ENG 5th Test in Dharamshala.
It was revealed that Rajat Patidar got hit on his left ankle during Team India practice. Thus in his absence, Devdutt Padikkal got his chance in the team. As a result, this is a big concern for Bangalore. Patidar is a vital cog in RCB’s middle order and his absence will surely hamper Virat Kohli’s side in their march to achieve ultimate glory.
