Ben Stokes strikes in his very first delivery of IND vs ENG series
Stokes got rid of the dangerous Rohit Sharma, putting an end to his 103-run knock. A relatively slower 131 kmph delivery did the trick for the England skipper who provided the much needed breakthrough for England.
Ahead of this Test, speculations loomed over when Ben Stokes would resume bowling in matches. The England skipper was seen bowling in the nets earlier, but he did not bowl a single delivery in the IND vs ENG series until the Dharamshala Test.
What Stokes had said about bowling earlier
“I have managed to get my first bowl at 100 per cent. I’m not going to lie. I feel really great. As a person I like to jump the gun a little bit but things are feeling really good. I have a whole body to get used to bowling again. It’s not a yes – but it’s not a no either,” Stokes had told Sky Sports earlier.
