Indian Cricket Legend Sachin Tendulkar was seen wearing para cricketer Amir Hussain’s jersey during an exhibition match in the inaugural Indian Street Premier League. The ISPL is a new T10 League all set to commence its first season on Wednesday, at the Dadoji Kondadev Stadium in Mumbai.
To inaugurate the tournament in grand style, organizers announced a special ‘Exhibition Match’ pitting legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s Master XI against Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar’s Khiladi XI. Notably, Tendulkar sported Amir’s name on his back, while Amir himself played alongside Tendulkar.
Earlier Sachin Tendulkar had a heartwarming encounter with Para cricketer Amir Hussain Lone during his visit to Jammu and Kashmir. Tendulkar extended a warm invitation to Amir, inviting him to his hotel room where they engaged in conversation. Tendulkar also took the opportunity to meet with the Jammu and Kashmir Para cricket team captain and generously gifted Amir a signed bat.
ISPL begins from March 6:
The ISPL is set to witness fierce competition among six formidable teams – Chennai Singams, Tiigers of Kolkata, Falcon Risers Hyderabad, Bangalore Strikers, and Srinagar Ke Veer – all vying for the coveted ISPL Championship title.
Scheduled from March 6 to March 15, 2024, the tournament is poised to transform the conventional sport of cricket with its innovative T10 format, featuring 10 overs per inning. Adding to the anticipation, the tournament opener between Srinagar Ke Veer and Majhi Mumbai is slated to kick off at 7:30 PM, promising an electrifying start to the ISPL extravaganza.
