England on Wednesday named their Playing XI for the IND vs ENG 5th Test. The Three Lions made one change from their 4th Test defeat in Rajkot with Mark Wood returning to replace Ollie Robinson. The England Playing XI other than the change remained the same as they went with two specialist spinners in the form of Shoaib Bashir and Tom Hartley.
Mark Wood has not been in ideal form in the IND vs ENG Test series. The fast bowler was wicketless in the IND vs ENG 1st Test in Hyderabad. He took four wickets in the first innings of the 3rd Test, but failed to add to his tally in the second.
England came to India with much vigour and valour but was humbled pretty soon by Rohit Sharma’s men. After winning the first Test of the IND vs ENG series, England suffered three consecutive losses with the team has a whole falling short of conquering the final frontier. The final Test in Dharamshala will provide a final chance for Ben Stokes’ side to salvage their pride.
