Passion for batting?

While known primarily for his exceptional bowling and fielding skills, Ravindra Jadeja extended batting practice as per the Indian Express has sparked speculation about his preferences.

This dedication is not entirely new for the all-rounder, known for his extended net sessions. However, the timing, amidst crucial team preparations, has surprised some.

Despite the recent focus on his batting, Jadeja has been a vital contributor to India’s success in the ongoing series against England. He is the only batsman in the Anthony de Mello Trophy to score over 200 runs in less than six innings, showcasing his batting prowess. Notably, his century in the third Test at Rajkot proved instrumental in India setting a strong total.

Bowling Brilliance

Beyond his batting, Jadeja has been equally impressive with the ball. He shares the lead for most wickets taken in the series alongside Jasprit Bumrah, with 17 scalps. His five-wicket haul in the second innings of the Rajkot Test earned him the Player of the Match award.

While Jadeja’s extended batting practice has become a talking point, the true test lies ahead. With the series poised at 2-2, all eyes will be on him to deliver an all-round performance in the final Test, helping India clinch a 4-1 series victory.
