Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are just a two-year-old franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL), however, they made it to the playoffs in both seasons. In the upcoming IPL 2024, the team under the leadership of KL Rahul will try to enter their first IPL final.
In the latest auction, they have signed six players to add more strength to their squad.
As Gautam Gambhir moved to his former frachises Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Justin Langer will take over the position of head coach in the team.
Captain KL Rahul will open the batting with South Africa’s Quinton De Kock, who will also serve as a wicketkeeper. LSG have Devdutt Padikkal, Nicholas Pooran, and Ayush Badoni as middle orders batters.
Krunal Pandya and Marcus Stoinis will come in death overs to display explosive batting and collect quick runs with their power hitting.
Lucknow have impressive spinners by their side in the name of veteran Amit Mishra and youngster Ravi Bishnoi. West Indies sensation Shamar Joseph, who has been added to the team as a replacement for Mark Wood, can also get a chance in LSG playing 11. Mohsin Khan will also serve as a pacer in the team.
