It has been two years since legendary Australian leg spinner Shane Warne breathed his last. On his second death anniversary, Warne’s daughter Brooke Warne penned an emotional note for his father, saying how much she missed his company. Warne passed away on March 4th, 2022.
On March 4, 2022, Warne tragically passed away at the age of 52. Warne had a heart attack as a result of coronary artery atherosclerosis while on vacation on the gorgeous Thai island of Ko Samui.
He passed away unexpectedly in a deluxe villa at the Samujana Villas resort, where emergency medical attention was not able to save him. Warne’s death was confirmed by his management and family, leaving the cricketing community and his fans around the world in deep sorrow.
Brooke talked about how emotionally taxing it was for her to survive the past 24 months following Warne’s passing. She reminisced about her childhood, when she and her father used to watch the British period crime drama television series Peaky Blinders.
“2 years today Dad. It’s been the slowest and quickest 2 years without you. I feel like you were just here being silly with us and talking about how good the new season of Peaky Blinders is, and we will watch the next episode together when you come home. Life really doesn’t make sense without you here. We try and do you proud every day. I miss you, I love you forever,” Brooke wrote on Instagram.
