The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 will witness several leadership changes, as six franchises will have new captains in the upcoming season. Many teams have decided to change their captains of IPL 2023 before stepping into the new season. Let us look at the list of new captains in IPL 2024.

The Mumbai Indians were the first team to announce a change in their captaincy, replacing their five-time title-winning skipper, Rohit Sharma, with Hardik Pandya.
SRH also replaced Aiden Markram for the next season. They have appointed Pat Cummins as their IPL 2024 captain.
KKR also replaced Nitish Rana with Shreyas Iyer after Iyer’s return was confirmed for IPL 2024. He had missed IPL 2023 due to injury.
After Pandya was traded to MI, GT named Shubman their new skipper. Rishabh Pant will also reassume the role of DC captain alongside David Warner.
CSK’s new captain was revealed just a day before the IPL 2024 when Ruturaj Gaikwad showed up for the captain’s photo op, shared by the IPL Twitter handle.
