Break over! Rohit Sharma & Co to hit Dharamsala nets on Monday

Rohit Sharma led India Cricket Team took a short break ahead of IND vs ENG 5th Test in Dharamsala. India have already sealed the series 3-1 after win in Ranchi.

India Cricket Team will hit nets on Monday as their short break is over. While Rohit Sharma is enjoying Anant Ambani’s pre-wedding bash in Jamnagar, his teammates will reach Dharamsala by March 3. India’s first practice is at 9:30 AM on Monday at the HPCA Stadium. The likes of Kuldeep Yadav and Sarfaraz Khan have already reached the venue ahead of IND vs ENG 5th Test.

However, with rain in Dharamsala, it is unlikely that India can utilise the optional practice session on Monday. The weather is likely to get better from Monday.

“Indian cricket team’s practice session will be held at 9.30 am tomorrow. Meanwhile, the England cricket team’s practice session will be held at 1.30 pm tomorrow,” Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association’s Vishal Sharma told PTI.

India have already sealed the series 3-1 with Shubman Gill and Dhruv Jurel leading the team to a win in Ranchi. Dharamsala Test is only a formality. However, with crucial WTC points on offer, India won’t take it lightly.

India will carry a lean squad to Dharamsala. Washington Sundar is playing for Tamil Nadu in Ranji Trophy semifinals.

However, in a boost to the squad, vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah will rejoin the squad. He was rested from the 4th Test due to workload management. Bumrah will be back in charge of the pace bowling department.

With the pitch and conditions seam-friendly, it is likely that India will play three seamers. Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep are likely to partner Bumrah.
