IRE vs AFG: How Ireland dominated the game
A five-wicket haul from Adair helped Ireland restrict AFG to 155 runs in the 1st innings. Ireland posted 263 runs on board before they were bowled out. Starting out with a slender lead, AFG once again felt the wrath of Adair.
Adair and McCarthy took three wickets each as AFG were all out for 218. Managing to hold their nerves, Ireland successfully managed to chase down the targted with six wickets to spare.

“I’m absolutely buzzing. The way the lads put out a few fires at the end. Happy to win. It’s nice to be in here, I’m the innocent bystander in this group of seamers. Last year Test cricket was pretty difficult, we finished every time on the losing side. This is a really stepping stone for us,” Adair says.
