Be it international cricket, the IPL, or the WPL, Virat Kohli has a huge fan-following across the world; perhaps can go beyond imagination as well. So when, during a WPL match in Bengaluru between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Giants on Tuesday, the crowd chants his name, it comes as no surprise.
When Team RCB were on the verge of victory, the crowd at Chinnaswamy Stadium went berserk, as chants of ‘Kohli, Kohli’, were heard.
RCB Make Impressive Start
Last year, after finishing fifth on the WPL points table, RCB has displayed a complete turnaround so far in the tournament, having won two in two. They won matches against UP and Gujarat Giants. In the first match, it was a narrow, two-run margin, while in the second they won comfortably with eight wickets.
“Lots of work has been done in the last year to get the right combination. This is just the start, we need to keep doing things right,” Mandhana said after the match.
