PKL team Telugu Titans have had disastrous campaigns in the tournament, in the last few years, where they have finished last, in the last three editions. Winning matches has become difficult with each passing season, and injuries are a regular feature in the team. This year too, Titans won only two matches, losing 19, drawing one.
Telugu Titans, a Flop at PKL
They had every chance of performing well, after they bagged India skipper Pawan Sehrawat for whopping 2.605 cr. Apart from Pawan, they had Parvesh Bhainswal, and Sandeep Dhull in the team as well, but they failed in Pro Kabaddi 2023-24. Now, as a consequence, Telugu Titans owners have taken a quick decision, and fired the current coach Srinivas Reddy.
In his place, Dronacharya awardee KK Hooda has been handed over the reigns of a team, that needs a complete overhaul. In an announcement made on social media, the owners wrote, “Titans army, thank you for standing by us through thick and thin. The past season has not gone as we had hoped and for that we take full responsibility we fell short of our goals and we understand the frustration and disappointment that you all must be feeling.

‘Not the End’
“However, we want you to know that this is not the end. We are already looking ahead to the future and we are excited to announce a new chapter for our team. We have made a bold decision to bring in a new head coach someone who is known for turning teams around and taking them up the leaderboard.
“It is with pride that we announced Dronacharya awardee Mr. Krishan Kumar Hooda as head coach of Titans for the upcoming seasons.”
