Paternity Leave and Recent Achievements:

Kane Williamson recently took paternity leave, missing the Black Caps’ T20 series against Australia. However, he was in top form during the preceding two-Test series against South Africa, playing a pivotal role in their historic first-ever Test series victory over the Proteas.

During that series, Kane Williamson displayed his exceptional batting prowess, notching three centuries (reaching 100 runs) – his 30th, 31st, and 32nd in Test cricket. This accomplishment propelled him to 11th place on the list of players with the most Test centuries, bringing him within one century of tying England’s legendary Alastair Cook for 10th place.

Surpassing Records and Looking Ahead:

Before Williamson’s remarkable rise, Martin Crowe held the record for most Test centuries by a New Zealander with 17 in his 77 matches. Now, with 98 Tests under his belt, Williamson has already surpassed that mark and has the potential to double it before his career concludes.

Following his paternity leave, Kane Williamson has been named in the Black Caps’ squad for the upcoming two-Test series against Australia. With a refreshed family life and his impressive form on the field, Williamson is undoubtedly a key player to watch as the Black Caps aim to continue their winning streak.
