Pakistan set to host New Zealand for T20I series in preparation for T20 World Cup

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is in talks with New Zealand Cricket (NZC) to finalise the schedule.

Pakistan cricket team is set to host New Zealand for a five-match T20I series in April as part of their preparations for the T20 World cup later this year.

According to PTI, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is in talks with New Zealand Cricket (NZC) to finalise the schedule and venues for the series, which is likely to be held between April 13 and 24.

The report further stated that the series would be probably staged in Lahore and Rawalpindi.

Pakistan and New Zealand are placed in different groups in the T20 World cup, but could face each other in the Super 8 round.

Pakistan will be keen to improve their performance in the shortest format after losing 4-1 to New Zealand in their last T20 series in January.

The hosts dominated the series with their batting and bowling prowess, while Pakistan struggled to cope with the conditions under new skipper Shaheen Afridi.
