England power hitter Harry Brooks is all set to get the finisher’s role in Delhi Capitals for IPL 2024. DC owner Parth Jindal confirms that Brooks will be playing a key role in the lower order of the side. The explosive batter was picked up for Rs 4 cr at the mini-auction in December 2023.

As per ESPNCricinfo, Jindal says he is looking forward to Brooks’ role in the side. He expects big things from David Warner, who is all set to play his final IPL edition with the side ahead of the mega auction in 2025.

The 24-year-old sparked a bidding war between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and DC but the latter came out on top to fetch the Englishman.

Notably, Brook will have to take a big pay cut in the IPL 2024. He was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad at a whopping Rs 13.25 crore. However, the youngster failed to replicate his imperious international form in his maiden IPL season.

In the 11 matches that he played for the Hyderabad franchise in IPL 2023, he scored 190 runs with 100 being his highest.
