Former England captain Nasser Hussain on Tuesday said England should stick with Jonny Bairstow in the last two test matches of the IND vs ENG series. Bairstow has been in dismal form in the ongoing IND vs ENG series.
Bairstow was one of the biggest poster boys of the ‘Bazball’ in the early days. The batter’s method of scoring quick runs in Test made him one of the mainstays. However, the runs have dried up in the England batter’s bat in the last few series.
Bairstow has failed to score even a single half-century in the ongoing IND vs ENG series, with his highest score being 37.

1st Test: 37, 10
2nd Test: 25, 26
3rd Test: 0, 4
His form has raised questions about him keeping his place in the England team in the remaining Tests. However, in a question and answer session in Daily Mail, Nasser Hussain has urged the England team to keep their faith on Jonny Bairstow.
“He hasn’t got runs and England need an experienced player like him to make them, it’s as simple as that. I would give him the next two Tests and make a decision at the end of the series. Dharamsala will be his 100th if he plays. He epitomised Bazball when it first came in but that was a while ago now. When Jonny has a point to prove he invariably proves it,” Nasser Hussain said in reply to a question.
