PSL 2024: Gaddafi Stadium Pitch Report, Records & Stats

This will be the sixth season of the PSL being held at the Gaddafi Stadium. This time, the first leg of the league will be held in Lahore and Multan, while the second leg will have matches hosted in Rawalpindi and Karachi.

The home of Lahore Qalandar, the Gaddafi Stadium, will host nine matches in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 season. One of the oldest grounds in Pakistan, the stadium in Lahore has been hosting cricket matches since 1959. With a capacity of 27000, the stadium proved an action-packed environment for fans and players. With more matches to come, check out the Gaddafi Stadium Pitch Report, Records, Stats, and 2024 season schedule.

Gaddafi Stadium Pitch Report

Lahore Stadium is one of the highest-scoring grounds in PSL. However, the average score here is 172 over the six editions that have been played here. In PSL 2024, two matches have been played here, with the average score being 200. No clear pattern as to which team has an advantage (chasing or batting first) has emerged so far.

The first match saw Islamabad United chase 196 with ease (10 balls left), while the second match saw Peshawar Zalmi lose while chasing 207. With 42 matches being played here, batting first has suited the team more, with a win percentage of 61.9. However, with teams preferring chasing nowadays, batting second under the lights and dew setting in might be the better option.
