England Cricket Team is looking for new ways to counter India’s batting prowess. England skipper Ben Stokes is likely to return to bowling. After his knee surgery, Stokes is yet to bowl in the ongoing IND vs ENG Test series. But now the visitors need a way out and can only bank on Ben Stokes.
With T20 World Cup on the horizon, Ben Stokes is gearing for that. Which is why despite being fit he hasn’t bowled in the series. For workload management he is also skipping IPL. Now that England are 2-1 down, Ben Stokes might likely come and bowl in the IND vs ENG Ranchi Test.
“I have managed to get my first bowl at 100 per cent. I’m not going to lie. I feel really great. As a person I like to jump the gun a little bit but things are feeling really good. I have a whole body to get used to bowling again. It’s not a yes – but it’s not a no either,” Stokes told Sky Sports.
England has heavily relied on their spinning unit. On the other hand, Mark Wood and James Anderson has been given the responsibility to lead the pace charge. But with Bazball failing against England’s formidable attack, it remains to be seen if Ben Stokes comes out to bowl in Ranchi Test.
