Joe Root’s poor form continues in the ongoing IND vs ENG Test series. And once again it was Ravindra Jadeja who scalped his bunny. This was the 7th occasion in Test cricket that Ravindra Jadeja has managed to dispatch the star English batter.
England are in tatters. Tasked to chase down 557 runs to win the Rajkot Test, the hosts have ripped apart England’s batting order. The visitors had high hopes to bank on their star batter, Joe Root. But nothing doing, Root fell victim to his formidable adversary after managing just 7 runs.

Joe Root Dismissal
It takes a special bowler to dismiss a special batter. And Rajkot’s very own Ravindra Jadeja didn’t disappoint. Joe Root looked determined to build up a strong partnership with skipper Ben Stokes. The duo kept on eating away deliveries, often frustrating the Indian spinners.
But Jadeja eventually had the last laugh. A tossed up delivery saw Root going for a sweep shot. The ball drifted below the bat to hit the pads as the umpire raises his fingers.
Root unconvinced opts for a review. The ultra edge shows no contact of the bat with the ball but a spike when the bat hits the ground. Hawkeye shows three red lights as Root gingerly has to walk back to the pavilion.
