England Cricket Team’s Bazball came under immense criticism. While Ben Duckett set the pace on Day 2, the visitors crumbled early on Day 3. England were bowled out on 319 thereby giving India a healthy lead of 126 runs. Former India head coach Ravi Shastri claimed England’s performance will be assessed on how they perform in India, Australia South Africa and New Zealand.
In the previous 2 Test matches, England got off well owing to their aggressive Bazball approach. While the top order has fired on all cylinders, the middle and the lower order has failed to keep pace in the innings. As a result, England has often crumbled despite getting a good start.
“England’s Bazball approach will be judged by how they do in the away Test series in Australia, India, South Africa and New Zealand,” Ravi Shastri told after England’s innings ended on Day 3.
Not just Shastri, England has faced harsh criticism from British media. Down the order, Ben Stokes has often played aggressive cricket but England has failed provide a batter who can compliment the English skipper.
India ended their innings on Day 2 with a huge score of 445 runs. England were off to a great start. Opener Ben Duckett slammed a ton and then went on to convert it to a 150 on Day 3. But the Indian bowlers regrouped strongly to deal a strong blow to the visitors.
