BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla has claimed that Ravi Ashwin’s mother is indisposed. As a result, Ashwin had to rush back to Chennai to be with his mother. Ashwin has withdrawn from the Rajkot Test owing to this family emergency.
With Ashwin’s absence, the India Cricket Team has been dealt with a massive blow. No Ashwin means India has no fifth bowler in their mix. Furthermore, India doesn’t have any other part-time bowlers in their ranks for the IND vs ENG Rajkot Test.
The BCCI announced that Ravichandran Ashwin has pulled out of the Rajkot Test. Previously on Day 2 of the game, he dispatched Zac Crawley to scalp his 500th Test wicket. He became the second Indian after Anil Kumble to achieve his historic feat.
What happened to Ashwin?
