France and PSG forward Kylian Mbappe has reportedly informed PSG president president Nasser Al Khelaifi that he will leave the club at the end of the season as a free agent. The Kylian Mbappe-PSG saga have been going on for long, and it looks like it is finally moving towards a conclusion.
There is no surety about Mbappe’s next club yet, but the French superstar leaving PSG on a free transfer will come as a huge jolt for the club. The Frenchman was bought by the Ligue 1 supergiant at a staggering 180 million pounds after the player’s breakout season.
Mbappe was close to leaving PSG on at least 4 occasions earlier but the club managed to keep the 2018 World Cup winner each time. France President Emmanuel Macron had to get involved in one instance to persuade Mbappe to stay at the club. Moreover, PSG had to provide the player with a say in the club’s future signings in order to make him sign a contract extension. However, it now looks like all has come to nothing.
Famous sports journalist Fabrizio Romano has now reported that Mbappe has now informed the club president about his intention to leave the club as a free agent at the end of the season. The scribe also mentioned that the terms of the deal are yet to be agreed upon, but if his report is to be believed, he will leave the club on a free transfer.
