The ever-so-exuberant Imran Tahir has become the fourth bowler to take 500 T20 wickets at the young age of 44. The South African leg-spinner has made a name for himself as one of the best franchise bowlers in the world. The spinner has joined an illustrious list of bowlers to take 500 T20 wickets, after Dwayne Bravo, Rashid Khan, and Sunil Narine.
Tahir achieved the milestone during the Khulna Tigers vs Rangpur Riders match in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024. The leggie claimed the wicket of Mahedi Hasan in his third over to etch his name into history.
Imran Tahir went on to pick up his fourth 5-wicket haul in T20 cricket and took his side, the Rangpur Riders, to a massive 78-run win.
