Shubman Gill & Jasprit Bumrah miss India practice ahead of IND vs ENG Rajkot Test

IND vs ENG 3rd Test: Major misses in India Training, Shubman Gill and Jasprit Bumrah miss India Training session

The IND vs ENG Rajkot Test is right upon us. Ahead of the 3rd Test, Shubman Gill and Jasprit Bumrah missed out on India’s practice before the Test. Bumrah is slated to join the team later in the evening. On the other hand, Shubman Gill wasn’t present in training and will miss the entire session, even in the evening.

Both the players missed out the morning practice for entirely different reasons. A total of 4 players missed the session. Apart from Bumrah and Gill, Devdutt Padikkal and Akash Deep too missed the session. The latter duo are yet to join the India camp after being busy with Ranji Trophy.

For Shubman Gill, there are no health or injury concerns. It is just that the player joined the India camp late on Monday evening. As a result, star batter Shubman Gill gets an off day. He will resume training on full force on Wednesday, the final practice session.

“No injury or health concern. He arrived late in the night and that’s why didn’t attend the session. He will be attending practice tomorrow,” a source told CricketNext.

As for Jasprit Bumrah, the ace pacer is yet to join the India camp. Jasprit Bumrah will join the team on Tuesday evening and is expected to fit the field the next day. With workload management on the mind, it remains to be seen if Bumrah would play the match or not. But reports claim that Bumrah might be rested for the 4th Test match.
