England pacer Reece Topley’s injuries problems continue to go from bad to worse. The left-arm pacer has reportedly been ruled out of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), set to begin on February 17.
According to reports, Reece Topley, who was set to represent Multan Sultans in PSL 9, was battling a niggle. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), being cautious, declined to issue the pacer the No Objection Certificate (NOC) to participate in the tournament.
This comes as a big blow for the IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) who had retained the player for the IPL 2024.
Notably, the England fast bowler was also ruled out of IPL 2023 after dislocating his shoulder in the match against Mumbai Indians.
Reece Topley was recently part of the SA20, where he played for Durban’s Super Giants. The pacer took 12 wickets in the 10 matches he played for the team. The 29-year-old registered figures of 1/32 in the SA20 final, which his side lost to Sunrisers Eastern Cape.
