Rodri hits out at Man City teammate Jack Grealish for ‘worst dresser’ comment

Grealish had previously labeled Rodri as the "worst dresser" at the club, along with criticizing his taste in music.

Manchester City midfielder Rodri has responded to teammate Jack Grealish’s playful taunt about his fashion sense, jokingly suggesting that Grealish and some other City players would be better suited for Milan Fashion Week than the football pitch.

Grealish had previously labelled Rodri as the “worst dresser” at the club, along with criticizing his taste in music. Rodri brushed off these comments, explaining that he prioritizes comfort over fashion when attending training sessions, though he acknowledges making more effort for other occasions.

“What they don’t understand is that I say: ‘Guys, I don’t need to be in the fashion week to come to train.’ I wear my tracksuit or whatever. I will do better when I go to dinner or whatever but not when I go training. I’m not going to dress like the fashion week of Milan every day!” said Rodri to The Mirror.

Regarding music preferences, Rodri admitted to disliking the trap and rap genres favored by some teammates, preferring pop music instead.

Reflecting on City’s achievements in the past year, Rodri expressed confidence in the team’s potential for further success, highlighting the talent and longevity of players like Phil Foden, Kevin De Bruyne, and Kyle Walker.

He credited manager Pep Guardiola for his motivational skills and ability to push players to perform at their best. Overall, Rodri emphasized the team’s determination to continue improving and achieving success under Guardiola’s guidance.

‌“He (Pep) is great at finding the way to motivate you, he’s so great at that and when you don’t perform well, he’s like: ‘I don’t like this, I don’t like it.’ He’s the first thing that doesn’t allow you and we just switch on.” Rodri concluded.
