TN vs Karnataka Day 1: Devdutt Padikkal dominates with 151-run knock as Tamil Nadu falter

Opener Devdutt Padikkal stayed unbeaten at 151 runs as Karnataka dominated Day 1 of their Ranji trophy game against Tamil Nadu

Karnataka opener Devdutt Padikkal raced to a 150-run knock in the Ranji Trophy 2024 game against Tamil Nadu. The southpaw stays unbeaten on 151 runs on Day 1 of the contest. Karnataka put up 288 runs on board after losing five wickets at stumps on Day 1.

TN vs Karnataka: Padikkal shines on Day 1

After losing skipper Mayank Agarwal early in the innings, Samarth and Padikkal steadied the ship for the side. Agarwal’s return to the field was short-lived after he was bowled out for just 20 runs. Agarwal made his return in the game against Tamil Nadu after he missed the previous game after being hospitalised.

Opener Samarth manage to score 57 runs before he was dismissed by Ajith Ram in the 54th over. Nikin Jose (13) was the once again the victim of Sai Kishore. India cap star Manish Pandey was dismissed for just one run in the 70th over. Kishan was the last to fall as Sai Kishore another wicket to end the day with figures of 3-94.
