Tilak Varma continued his imperious form in Ranji Trophy as he scored his third century of the domestic season as Hyderabad continue their dominance in the ongoing Ranji Trophy Plate Group League.
The Hyderabad skipper slammed 101 off 135 deliveries before getting dismissed as the hosts ended the opening day on 385/5 against Nagaland.
Notably, this is Varma’s second century against Nagaland this season. He scored a blazing century in team’s opening fixture in January last month.
Notably, Tilak Varma has been grinding hard in first-class cricket. His two back-to-back centuries this season led to his selection in the India A squad for the England Lions series.
However, the batter failed to replicate the same form in the two unofficial Test matches, managing 74 in three innings.
However, with injuries and unavailability plaguing the Indian Test squad, the selectors will certainly be monitoring the performance of the youngster.
