Mohammed Shami has lashed out at ex-Pakistan cricketer Hasan Raza over his bizarre claims involving different balls being given to Indian bowlers. The statement made by Raza dates back to during the World Cup 2023. The Pakistan cricketer had cited Shami’s delivery to Angelo Mathews apart from Siraj’s spell to justify his claim.
Shami hits back at ex-PAK cricketer
As per News18, Shami slammed Raza and said that they had made a joke out of cricket and couldn’t enjoy each other’s successes. He added that the jealousy was pretty much evident and that one could never get good results with so much jealousy in place.
“Actually they have made cricket a joke because we don’t enjoy each other’s success. You become too happy when you are being praised, but when you lose, you feel that you have been cheated. You look at the records of the time we have been part of the team, you won’t even find them close. Jalan toh puri dikhti hai wo. Itna jalane se kon se results mil jaane hain (Jealously is evident. You can never get good results with this amount of jealously,” Shami told News18.
Raza had claimed that the ball was changed in the second innings of IND vs SL match. He claimed that the ICC, umpire, or the BCCI was giving a different ball to the Indian bowlers. He went on to add that only one ball which was utilised during his days, and had both swing and reverse swing.
