West Indies did not have a good day at all in the AUS vs WI 3rd ODI as the hosts raced home to a 8-wicket win. While they were indeed torn apart by the World Cup winning champions, a batter’s huge blunder prompted the commentators to wonder how one could make such a mistake.

Kjorn Ottley fell victim to Australia’s Xavier Bartley after a delivery looked like it hit him on his pads. The umpire decided that it was out and Ottley did not bother reviewing the decision. However, replays showed that there was a thick inside edge after which the delivery hit his pad plumb in front.
“He’s smashed it — what an idiot,” Waugh yelled.
“It sounded like there was two noises.
“My goodness, what are they doing? That is just unforgivable.”
West Indies were bowled out for a mere 86 runs, thanks to Xavier Bartlett. The pacer picked up 4 wickets, conceding 21 runs in 7.1 overs as the hosts wreaked havoc on the visitors. Lance Morris and Adam Zampa grabbed two wickets each as none apart from Alick Athanaze (32) managed to get going.
