IND vs ENG Test: Indian players get short break to refresh before Rajkot Test

IND vs ENG Test: Series poised at 1-1, Indian cricket team get short break before Rajkot Test

The India Cricket Team players are set to get a break after the IND vs ENG 2nd Test. England head coach Brendon McCullum has confirmed that Rahul Dravid has claimed that his players are going for a break. There is a good 9 day gap between the 2 Test matches and thus the players will take their time to rejuvenate.

The India vs England Test series is currently poised at 1-1. England won in Hyderabad, while India came back strongly in Vizag. Ahead of the Vizag Test, players from both teams go their separate ways to rest and recover. While the Indians get a break, the English players go to Abu Dhabi to enjoy time with their family.

“I was talking to Rahul Dravid [the India coach] and he mentioned all his boys are shooting home as well,” Brendon McCullum told The Telegraph.

“Home for us a little way away so we chose Abu Dhabi and we are going to enjoy the families. Then when we get to Rajkot, we drop the shoulder and go hard,” McCullum concluded.

For India, the squad announcement is pending. A couple of changes are expected owing to injuries and workload management. Reports claim that Jasprit Bumrah will be rested while KL Rahul is set to comeback after recovering.
