Cameron Green has made a habit of taking absolute screamers. The tall Western Australian has taken some of the best catches in the past few years while being stationed at Gully. His athletic abilities have been showcased mostly in the longer format (Tests), where he’s made a name for himself.
However, he’s shown his ability to create magic in any format and at any position. With Australia in prime position to win the AUS vs WI 2nd ODI and take the series, Cameron Green produced magic to dismiss Roston Chase.
With the West Indies 167/8 and 92 runs still needed to win the match, Chase flicked a length ball from Sean Abbott towards the short mid-wicket region where Cameron Green was stationed.
Showing his cat-like reflexes, Green pounced towards the ball to his left and grabbed it mid-air. The 6’6 all-rounder caught the ball a mere inches above the ground, and that too with his non-dominant hand (left).
With the West Indies down 9 wickets, Australia needs just 16 balls to dismiss the visitors for just 175 and seal the match by 83 runs and the series 2-0 with one match still left.
