Jaiswal scores maiden 200 in IND vs ENG 2nd Test
Jaiswal commenced batting on Day 2 after staying unbeaten on 179 runs on the previous day. He has been the lone warrior for India, with all other batters did not manage to cross 40 runs. Earlier on Day 1, Jaiswal was involved in five 40+ run partnerships and was a spectator for the entire day as his teammates walked back and forth to the pavilion.
“I wanted to play it session by session. When they were bowling well, I just wanted to get through that spell. Initially, the wicket was damp and there was spin and bounce, with a bit of seam. However, I wanted to convert the loose balls, and play till the end. I would love to double this up, and play till the end for the team,” Yashasvi Jaiswal said after carrying his bat till Day 1 stumps.
