East Bengal are filled with confidence after winning the Kalinga Super Cup. Head Coach Carles Cuadrat has claimed every ‘boro Match’ is different. The gaffer has claimed that they are not the favourites for the derby as Mohun Bagan are positioned ahead of East Bengal.
The Red and Gold brigade manager has claimed that it is important for their side to win the game. He has expressed how teams often get complacent and lose matches after winning a trophy.

“Every ‘Boro Match’ is different. After a big win, there can be moments where you lose concentration to lose a game. It has happened with me before. I don’t have to ask for motivation from the players. It is important for us to win the ‘Boro Match‘”, claimed Cuadrat at the pre match press conference.
East Bengal will be without the services of star midfielder Souvik Chakrabarti. This will be crucial for Cuadrat to change his tactics.

“We are going to play 11 vs 11. We have to find a replacement for Souvik. I am happy with the team and will have to find a solution for Souvik’s absence,” Cuadrat added.
“We don’t have excuses (playing with 4 foreigners). I have full confidence on my foreigners. They are playing well and doing good. The team is really working well. I am happy with the transfer window. We have 2 good foreigners joining us along with 2 Indians,” Cuadrat concluded.
