Unfortunate: Stokes on Jack Leach’s injury
Expressing frustration over Jack Leach’s injury, Stokes emphasized ongoing assessments by the medical team, hoping it won’t sideline Leach for an extended period in the series. “He is ruled out of the second Test,” Stokes said.
“Unfortunately, the knock he took resulted in a haematoma in his leg. It is a big shame for us, a big shame for Jack, obviously after a long time out of the game with his back,” Stokes added.
Speaking about Jack Leach numbers in Test arena, the left-arm spinner has played a total of 35 Test matches and has scalped 126 wickets at an average of 34.4. His experience with the ball will certainly be missed by the Three Lions in the IND vs ENG 2nd Test.
