Will Vizag Pitch offer turn? Vikram Rathour discloses pitch secrets ahead of IND vs ENG 2nd Test

IND vs ENG 2nd Test: Vikram Rathour claims Vizag pitch difficult to predict, can offer turn

After IND vs ENG Hyderabad Test, the Vizag pitch has come under the scanner. The spinning pitch in Hyderabad backfired on India Cricket Team. As a result, England walked away with a 28 run win stagging a strong comeback. However, the Vizag pitch is likely to be different.

India’s batting coach Vikram Rathour addressed the press disclosing some secrets about the pitch. He went on to claim that the pitch looks to favour spin but it won’t turn from Day 1.

“It (pitch) is difficult to predict. It will turn, maybe not from the first day, but eventually, it will turn. That’s how the wicket looks like,” Vikram Rathour said.

India faced a batting collapse in their second innings and couldn’t chase a 231 run target on Day 4. Rathour went on to exclaim that all departments could have worked better.

“There’s no question of recovery. You keep learning every game that you play. Of course, we could have done better in batting, bowling and fielding. A lot of discussions and ideas are being shared, preparing well and hoping to do well in the next game,” he added.

India will be eyeing revenge in Vizag. Rohit Sharma and Co will be ready to stage a comeback against the Three Lions.
