One’s doom is another’s boom! Indian batter Shubman Gill will breathe easy after KL Rahul was ruled out of the IND vs ENG 2nd Test after complaining of a right quadriceps pain. Gill has been going through a rough patch in recent time and the Indian batter’s place in the team was under the scanner. However, with KL Rahul’s injury, Gill is almost certain to play a part in the IND vs ENG 2nd Test, with replacement Sarfaraz Khan expected to slot in to India’s middle order.

The BCCI on Monday announced departure of KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja ahead of the IND vs ENG 2nd Test in Vizag starting Friday, February 2nd. While Jadeja sustained a hamstring injury during the first Test, KL Rahul had experienced pain in his right quadriceps. The BCCI named Sarfaraz Khan, Sourabh Kumar and Washington Sundar as their replacements.
