West Indies’ remarkable fightback with both bat and ball has kept them in hunt, setting up a thrilling Day 4 of the AUS vs WI 2nd Test at the Gabba on Sunday.

Resuming on 13 for 1, West Indies’ middle-order fought hard despite Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc’s fiery spells under lights.

Kirk McKenzie (41) and Alick Athanaze (35) played gritty knocks as West Indies pushed their lead to over 200 on a juicy Gabba track.

Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon were the top wicket takers for the hosts, grabbing 3 wickets each.

Chasing 216, Australia lost Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuchagne early to put West Indies in front. Steve Smith (33*) and Cameron Green (9*) survived the day as Australia finish on 60/2 at Stumps.
