Pakistan cricket or cricketers don’t fail to throw surprises. Now, as per a report in Geo Super, three women players in domestic cricket, appearing in the National Women’s Cricket Championships, were involved in a physical altercation, that left one of them with a bloodied nose.
The report suggested, Sadaf Shams and Yusra, attacked teammate Ayesha Bilal. The latter, after a gap of two days, then lodged a formal complaint to the PCB. Now, the board has put a temporary ban on all three players, barring them from playing, until any further notice.
The head of women’s cricket, Tania Malik will soon conduct an investigation on the same. Meanwhile, the National Women’s Cricket Championships features six regional teams — Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta and Rawalpindi.
The winners of the competition will receive PKR one million, while the runners-up will bag PKR 0.5 million.
