One of the foremost tasks for any ground hosting an international cricket match, is to ensure proper facilities for the players and the fans coming to watch the proceedings. But it looks like, that is not being taken care of, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad, where India vs England first Test is taking place.
On the second day of the Test, a few fans took to social media, and expressed their displeasure over poor arrangements for the fans at the venue. While one complained of issues reaching the venue, water bottles & suntan lotions being confiscated, the other went a step further, and uploaded a video of a dirty toiled at the Uppal Stadium.
If all this is true, then this is certainly not the first time that such an incident has happened in India. Recently, during the India vs England women’s series, a similar issue had come up with venue in Mumbai, where fans took to social media, over inadequate stadium facilities.
In fact, the Hyderabad stadium had come under the scanner during the World Cup 2023 as well, where fans had complained of bird litter on the seats.
